blake babies "epilogue" --our very last record release/ep---is out now --available for the first time for your digital downloading pleasure
— Juliana Hatfield (@julianahatfield) December 11, 2012
'Epilogue' - the last Blake Babies release from 2002, is now widely available for the first time from today via most digital outlets including iTunes and Spotify.
The EP was originally available in limited numbers on CD and sold principally at the final Blake Babies live shows in the US.
It features 3 covers (Fleetwood Mac's 'Walk A Thin Line', MC5's 'Shakin' Street' and The Ramones' 'I Wanna Be Sedated'), a remix of 'Nothing Ever Happens', and an original Hatfield / Strohm composition - 'My Motor'. It's not automatic. You've got to work that stick.
'Epilogue' was the first release on Juliana's Ye Olde Records label. A handful of remaining cds found at Ye Olde HQ were sold by Juliana at $200 each as part of her first PledgeMusic project in 2011.
It's a bit cheaper now.

Previous related posts here have therefore been removed.
Juliana Hatfield, aka The Covers Album is now on general release.
The album is available on cd from julianahatfield.com and digitally at iTunes and Spotify with other digital services expected to follow.
Juliana has announced that she will be closing the PledgeMusic project for the covers album tomorrow (Friday 31 August 2012).
There's a handful of artwork and posters still available so if you want them you'd better be quick.

@phizlair so glad you don't hate it! thanks!
For those of you with Spotify, here are the songs from Juliana's new Juliana Hatfield album aka The Covers Album, by all the original artists*:
*apart from Led Zepagain. Also, 'Ready For Love' was originally a Mott The Hoople song, but Juliana has referenced the subsequent Bad Company version.
This was created for Spotify in the UK but hopefully most if not all songs are licensed in other regions.
In varying quality, here are the original artists performing the songs which make up Juliana's new eponymous covers album:
Teenage Fanclub - Cells
Foo Fighters - Learn To Fly
Creedence Clearwater Revival - Bad Moon Rising
Bad Company - Ready For Love (original by Mott The Hoople)
I Blame Coco - Selfmachine
Nada Surf - Fruit Fly
Pete Yorn - Closet
Electric Light Orchestra - Sweet Is The Night
Ryan Adams - Do I Wait
Liz Phair - Friend Of Mine
The Who - My Wife
Led Zeppelin - Rock And Roll
Here we go.
Juliana's new album of covers - the oddly titled Juliana Hatfield, is now available as a download for PledgeMusic subscribers ahead of the global release, which remains scheduled for August 28, 2012.
This site hasn't published the artwork, title and track list before now because Juliana has wanted, in her olde worldy ye olde records style, to keep it a secret.
Although some of the arrangements will come as a surprise the chosen songs are pretty much in line with what she has posted to PledgeMusic / Twitter and the live shows in June.
- Cells
- Learn To Fly
- Bad Moon Rising
- Ready For Love
- Selfmachine
- Fruit Fly
- Closet
- Sweet Is The Night
- Do I Wait
- Friend Of Mine*
- My Wife*
- Rock And Roll
*omitted from the vinyl version.
What are you waiting for? Allez. Avante. Now.

Pledgers will have noted that Juliana recently posted a photo taken from a shoot in New York with Brad Walsh.
Three other photos from the shoot are now up on Brad's Flickr pages:

really liking alpinisms by school of seven bells that my friend turned me onto the other day
— Juliana Hatfield (@julianahatfield) May 24, 2012
Alpinisms is the 2008 debut album from School Of Seven Bells.
The band are heavily played on the liveontomorrow.co.uk stereo and their two subsequent albums - 2010's Disconnect From Desire and this year's Ghostory come highly recommended.
Good to know Jules is now a fan.
Some Some Girls news:
Heidi Gluck is currently touring the US with Joel Henderson, both as opening act and playing in Joel's band.
thanks to Carlos for the info.
I've been working extensively on the new Juliana Hatfield covers album. It's going to be super cool! Hooray! Songs are top secret. :)
— Peter Adams (@SLightFLight) April 14, 2012
Well, not all the songs are that secret.
If you're a pledger you can now hear what Juliana describes as "a bit of a weird mix" of Liz Phair's Friend Of Mine, in a work in progress update in the covers album project.
Spoiler Alert!
Although Juliana's intention is to keep the songs chosen for the covers project a secret, this doesn't really fit with the PledgeMusic 'updates from the studio' idea. Inevitably, we have been hearing snippets along the way and now some songs as works in progress.
If you really don't want to know their identity, it looks like you'll have to skim the Pledge updates avoiding the songs and the user comments, which isn't really the idea is it! Oh, and don't come to this site either. Smiley winking face emoticon thing.
Having previously uploaded a video snippet of Pete Yorn's Closet, Juliana has now posted a demo.

Now if Juliana were ever to make a covers album...
New pledges have been added to Juliana's Covers Album project at PledgeMusic since the launch earlier this month, including the return of the 20 questions by email thing which she did last year.
Today, she's brought back the offer of a personalised song, which you'll recall was a fundraiser of sorts she did in 2010 before the original PledgeMusic project.
Juliana:
I will write you a personal song! I’ll create an original song exclusively for you, to you, about you... [] ...Think of it as a commissioned sonic portrait. I will send you an mP3 and a CD of your song and will never release it to the public.
This offer is available now for up to 3 potential pledgers for, ahem, $1,000.
But you all know this anyway because you're all pledgers, right?
