Evan Dando and Juliana Hatfield performing "choose drugs" at Maxwell's in Hoboken, New Jersey 01.20.11
From last night's show at Maxwell's, Hoboken.
More from loopyvids on YouTube, including The Outdoor Type, Bit Part and My Drug Buddy.
“Honestly, I don’t think it’s something we’re going to do indefinitely,” Hatfield says. “We may do a few shows on the West Coast or maybe even go to Europe for a week or two, but after that I just don’t want to be on the road."
Ooh. The Juliana & Evan roadshow might cross the Atlantic. More on this and the possibility of an electric Peace & Love in an interview with New Haven Advocate.
There's also an interview with Evan at Connecticut Post.
Juliana & Evan will be among various artists performing The Music Of Neil Young on February 10, 2011 in New York City.
The show is to benefit music and arts for underprivileged youth and will be held at Carnegie Hall. Juliana performed at a similar event at the venue in 2007 where she covered Bruce Springsteen's Cover Me.
It will be interesting to see which song they choose.Update - it's Cinnamon Girl.
Juliana previously covered Young's Only Love Can Break Your Heart for her Gold Stars compilation in 2002. Evan of course has made an effort to cover every song he's ever heard so it's no surprise that there are a few Young covers out there, such as this:

A new date has been added to the upcoming shows by Juliana and Evan Dando.
They will play Daniel Street, Milford, CT on January 23, 2011. Tickets are now on sale.
Juliana's official site mentions that Juliana and Evan are interviewed with Jenny and Johnny in the latest issue of Lula Magazine. There is no online edition of this UK based fashion magazine which is a bit exclusive and only comes out twice a year.
Juliana's appearance with Evan Dando at Wheeler Opera House, Aspen, CO on January 30 is now confirmed to be as a part of 'Wes & Eugene's Cabinet of Wonders'. This is a variety showcase curated by singer John Wesley Harding & comedian Eugene Mirman and therefore not a full headlining show.
Best wishes at this festive time of year to all readers of this site. Thanks to everyone who has contributed, sent a link or written a message.
And, because we can, let's just remind ourselves that 16 years ago, ABC aired a Christmas episode of My So-Called Life which featured Juliana. Those in the US can watch the whole episode officially on Hulu. (Unofficially it's on YouTube too)
Juliana appeared at various points in the show as an angelic homeless girl, also performing Make It Home, which she wrote specifically for the show, later saying:
"I utilized part of the melody of “Silent Night” — in the verses, over some sad/pretty chords — and a piece of “O Come All Ye Faithful” in the bridge, and it worked like a charm (if I do say so myself). Just the right combination of pathos and hope. The TV people liked it a lot."
And so did we, Juliana.
Tickets for the Juliana & Evan show at Maxwell's, Hoboken, NJ on January 20, 2011 are now on sale.
Updates on what we should all be calling the "Raking A Big Yard Full Of Leaves" tour with Evan Dando in January:
Tickets for the Philadelphia show with Evan at World Cafe Live (on Jan 24) go on sale from December 15.
The Jan 22 show at Iota Club & Cafe, Arlington, VA is also now confirmed by the venue, which doesn't sell advance tickets.
Support for the tour comes from Lady Lamb the Beekeeper.
'Live at Lime' - a 6 track acoustic EP recorded by Juliana in 2008 for LimeWire is about to disappear from the interwebs.
The LimeWire Store is no longer accepting new customers and will close for good on December 31, 2010.
Hopefully the 'Live at Lime' sessions will be made available to other retailers (or returned to the artists), but as it stands this Juliana recording will no longer be available anywhere.
The project with Evan Dando looks to have legs.

A few more links for this week's Juliana & Evan shows in Boston:
The Boston Phoenix has a blog article on the choice of The Real Kids' Common at Noon in the setlist and the dedication to Billy Ruane. The article also has a YouTube clip of the song from the November 2 show.
As is now customary, spiketop has posted video from both shows at YouTube.
There's also a great set of photos (including the one above) posted at C. Van Slyke's Tumblr.
UPDATE:
Carsten has reviewed the first show with photos at Only Everything.
"Dando explained his cheerful chattiness as a byproduct of his delight in playing with his longtime friend, and Hatfield laughed and smiled more than she normally does onstage as the pair conferred on the set list, chords, and lyrics."
The November 1 Juliana & Evan show, reviewed at the Boston Globe.
(thanks to Carlos for the link.)
The set list from the second of two Juliana & Evan shows at Great Scott:
thanks again to Andrew for sharing this list via This is the Sound.
“I walked into a tree before I came onstage,” Hatfield explained before the pair’s sixth song, Teenage Fanclub’s “Cells.” She’d been on the street looking the other way at a homeless person and - bang.
Last night's Juliana & Evan show at Great Scott reviewed at the Boston Herald.
First mentioned last year, Ryan Schmidt's album Black Sheep, Run is finally released today. It features Juliana's vocals on the track Night The Bells Rang.
The song is available as a digital download from Amazon UK, Amazon US and at iTunes. There's also a CD option available via Ryan's Facebook page.
