Juliana says to pledgers:
I am eternally grateful and so happy and lucky to be able to keep making my music for you. I sincerely hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed assembling it in my little back room with the bird songs coming in through the windows.
Currently this is a PledgeMusic exclusive but as per the last two projects we can expect a general release within a few weeks. UPDATE - the release date is September 10. Pre-orders are being taken at julianahatfield.com.

That's 7pm British Summer Time, 6pm UTC.
As spotted by Andrew on the This Is The Sound group, there is a new* song titled Miles Away available to listen at Juliana's PledgeMusic profile page.
Bring on tomorrow.
*it's a new old song
Juliana's cover of this cover can be heard now by PledgeMusic subscribers.
How rare. A Juliana remix.
Don't Wanna Dance (Brad Walsh remix) has been created for use as runway music for Christian Siriano at New York Fashion Week.
You may recall that Brad Walsh took some excellent photos of Juliana after a book reading in 2008.
If you haven't already nabbed the track at PledgeMusic you can download from this direct link to the mp3:

If you're curious, you can listen to Brad's remix of 'She's A Blast' by The Beautiful Bodies (from the same EP) at SoundCloud.
a couple of notes for any Brits reading this:
1 'runway' means 'catwalk'.
2 sadly it's not that Brad Walsh
Wow.
Just hours after the PledgeMusic download release of There's Always Another Girl, we now have some bonus demos too!
Released under the old skool Juliana honor system, 12 tracks are now available for download at Juliana's official site. Although some have been available before (at Juliana's site and PledgeMusic) there are some interesting new ones. They are released with the caveat:
Please understand/be forewarned that some of these demos are unfinished works in progress, especially lyrically.
With that in mind...
Download, Devour and Decide what to Donate.
Another new song and this time it's a preview from the now imminent new album.
Stray Kids is track 8 from There's Always Another Girl and can be heard / downloaded at Stereogum.
In her PledgeMusic update yesterday Juliana said:
if you do hear the sneak peek don’t go thinking that the whole album will sound just like that, okay? not that i don’t love the song—i have a special place in my heart for the song.....it has been around me for a while, in different forms.
A spotters badge for anyone who has recognised one of those different forms as Bringing You Down Again - one of the 2009 honor downloads.
A mighty liveontomorrow.co.uk gold star is awarded to the PledgeMusic pledgetastic™ pledger who chose New Order's Bizarre Love Triangle as a song for Juliana to cover. One of the all time greats.
Visit Juliana's latest PledgeMusic update to hear her acoustic take on the track.
New Song alert. Juliana's cover of Neil Young's Barstool Blues is available to listen at PledgeMusic.
This results from one of the 'record a song of your choice' pledges.
If you have Spotify (which as of today includes those of you in the US), you can listen to Neil Young performing the song live.
As promised, Juliana has added several items of her artwork to the PledgeMusic incentives, mostly offered at $125 each.
Also, prior to her heading to the studio at the end of the month we now have 2 acoustic songs in progress, available only to those of us who have pledged on this project.
We're called 'pledgies' don't you know.
See the song above? Juliana has covered it.
Yes, Juliana has covered Jessie J. With rapping. RAPPING!
This outrageously good track is available as a download in Juliana's latest PledgeMusic update.
"pop/rock worker, dog lover"
So says the bio of Juliana at PledgeMusic, where we find a new song - a cover of Albert Hammond's It Never Rains In Southern California.
It's available to play via the above widget and you can download it in exchange for your email address or login via Facebook.
The song dates back to the early 1970's when it sounded like this:
The three Peace & Love 'outtakes' which have been streaming on Juliana's MySpace since last year, are now available for mp3 download from her official site.
That's two songs which didn't make the final album - I Won't Let You Go and Between The Clouds, plus an alternate version of I Picked You Up.
As ever, it's the honor system. You know the drill.
Juliana never fails to surprise. Today she has announced an unexpected left field idea of offering a customised personal song for $1000. Yes, you have just read that.
The full details in Juliana's own words are at her official site, where orders are being taken. UPDATE - MAY 12 2010 - Juliana is no longer taking orders.
The key points are:
- send some personal info and Juliana will tailor-make a song for you
- songs will be ‘mostly acoustic style’
- songs sent by mail in personalised hand painted cardboard CD sleeve
- $1000 cost on first-come first-served basis, capped at 20
- $10 ‘lottery ticket’ option for one chance to win the same deal
- songs intended solely for recipients, not planned for future release
This offer is intended to help fund two unspecified future projects and a third, which Juliana tantalisingly says...
"..involves gathering together some of my vast unreleased archives."
This idea is a little eccentric and intriguing. It will also no doubt induce panic among the most compulsively voracious of collectors! Nonetheless we now know that a) Juliana is still writing new songs and b) there is a “vast” number of old unheard songs she wants to do something with. Therefore the best news reported on these pages this year.
Three new tracks are now streaming on Juliana's MySpace page. Described as Peace & Love outtakes, there's an alternate version of I Picked You Up plus two previously unheard songs - I Won't Let You Go and Between The Clouds.
Two songs from Peace & Love - Let's Go Home and Evan, can be heard now at Direct Current.
Juliana's 'honor system' download project is shortly to come offline. Grab the songs and donate before they go.
